The Queens County Farm Museum hosted the 36th Annual Thunderbird American Indian Mid-Summer Pow Wow on July 25-27. With more than 40 Native American nations represented, the dance competition drew around 16,000 visitors over the weekend. People also enjoyed Native American crafts such as dreamcatchers, jewelry and food.
Kathleen Migliore-Newton and Douglas Newton have been painting for more than five decades. A couple of artists, who could not make it as painters but still do it for the love, the fun of it.

Nazanin Noroozi is an Iranian artist. Two years ago, she moved to the United States to attend Pratt Institute and pursue a Master’s degree in Fine Arts. She now needs to navigate two different cultures, two different worlds.
